Deadlands - NY

Deadlands is a metalcore band hailing from New York that brings a new sonic into traditional post-hardcore. Founding member, Kasey Karlsen, has been writing music about her toxic relationships, friendships, hardships and current events since she was in high school. CJ Arey, professionally known as NO SHADE, creates melodies for the guitar and bass while simultaneously inputting his own flare of trap and cinematic references into the production of the music. Kyle OBraitis creates all the drums for Deadlands. His hard hitting rhythms and strategic placement for each song really drives the feel and direction for each track. The band’s writing style takes influence from bands such as Asking Alexandria, Motionless In White, Escape the Fate, Falling in Reverse, Wage War, and Bring Me The Horizon.
