Afraid of the Dark UK

​​​​Afraid of the Dark is an alternative indie rock band based in London. Formed in 2021 by Gwen Sutterby and Ben Lui Simpkins, the band has developed a unique, ethereal sound that combines soft acoustic influences with ambient grunge. After starting as a live four-piece act in Bath College, the band has now grown to feature Ashleigh Seager on drums and Charlotte Olivia on bass guitar and backing vocals. They are currently recording their debut single, "Heather"set to be released in Winter 2023. With diverse musical backgrounds, the band has developed a strong, cohesive repertoire that has delighted audiences at live shows and festivals.
