The eclectic, soulfully driven sounds of i///u have never been simple to categorize, but that hasn’t prevented the 6-piece Seattle-based alternative soul outfit from accruing a loyal, enthusiastic cult following. Formed at the University of Washington in 2018, i///u has electrified Seattle’s hallowed musical grounds from the U-District house show scene to Bumbershoot with their narcotic grooves and airtight live performances.


In 2019, i///u was crowned champion of MoPop’s SoundOff!, the PNW’s biggest battle of the bands, and caught the attention of many local tastemakers. Later that year they made their live TV debut, recorded at the KEXP studio, and were stamped by the Seattle Times as “one of the ten artists to watch at Bumbershoot.” Fresh off appearances at Neumos and The Showbox, the band has installed themselves among Seattle’s most reliable live acts. i///u has been entrusted to deliver dynamic opening sets for Pusha T, The Dip, Quincy Jones’ MoPop Founders Award Induction, Kiefer, The Backseat Lovers, Alvvays, and more.


Riding the momentum of regional and online favorites “Sun Behind My Eyes” and “Pink Mirage,” the band hit RL Studios (Nirvana, Death Cab for Cutie) in late 2022 to work with Seattle rock frontman and engineer Cameron Lavi-Jones (King Youngblood) on their most ambitious project to date…
