Back to the roots of New Wave !
« Kezdown » : a mix of vintage synths, catchy guitars and powerfull drums.
Cold as sun and hot as ice … If you wear black, you should understand.
Played by current member of «The Breath Of Life» and also ex «Texas Trauma» and «Modern Cubism» musicians.

1) The big bang
April 2008 : Keyser meets Cz in an underworld bar from Charleroi, a paradise city belonging to the Kingdom of Belgium. At first sight, nothing in common between these two men.
2) Destiny
April 2015, still at the same joint (a place that has finally become a sort of headquarter for these two depressed persons). Cz whistles nervously the Depeche Mode’s hit « Walking in My Shoes ».
3) Curiosity
Ravaged by alcohol and boredom, Keyser tries to establish a dialogue : « Ho ! Me too ! I like Depeche Mode. By the way, did you know that I was a musician ? ».
4) Disdain
Scathing reply by Cz : « Musician ? You ? Really ? Are you pulling my leg ? ».
5) Generation gap
Head-butt by Keyser : « Do you think you are intelligent ? Dirty old beatnik ! ».
6) The interest
Heavy kick by Cz : « Other than Depeche Mode, which kind of music do you like ? »
7) Revelation
Unstoppable smash by Keyser : « Joy Division, Front 242, Nitzer Ebb… Electro Body Music in general… And also many other stuff you don’t know because you are too old ! ».
8) Temperance
Cz is not a sore loser : « Cool down little boy, I’m a musician too.
Did you hear about The Breath Of Life or Texas Trauma ? No ? Never ? Well, too young of course. Let me hear your compositions. If I like, I propose you a deal : I’m gonna sing on it !».
9) The promise
The Cz pact : « It’s not bad at all. I’m gonna work on it. In three weeks, there will be 13 songs ready made with amazing lyrics ».
10) Happy end
April 2018, Cz is not a liar. The job is done.

A music that can be described as Dark/Synth Pop. Influenced by bands like : Fad Gadget, The Neon Judgement, New Order… Featuring untamed synths, 100% new wave guitars and a voice... Cold but warm at the same time (don’t try to understand)

Si l’on devait résumer Kezdown en un mot, inertie serait, de loin, le terme parfait.
Une inertie nourrie, amplifiée, motivée, magnifiée… Et ce par divers événements et éléments qui, quoique apparemment anodins, s’avéreront implacables dans la lente gestation de ce projet musical. Liste non exhaustive en 10 improbables repères :
1) Le big bang
Avril 2008 : rencontre entre Keyser et Cz dans un bar interlope de la région de Charleroi, cité paradisiaque du Royaume de Belgique. A priori, aucun point commun entre les deux hommes.
2) Le signe du destin
Avril 2015, toujours dans le même tripot devenu une espèce de quartier général pour les deux dépressifs, Cz sifflote nerveusement « Walking in My Shoes » de Depeche Mode.
3) La curiosité
Ravagé par l’alcool et l’ennui, Keyser tente une approche : « Ho ! Moi aussi j’aime Depeche Mode. Tiens, au fait, tu savais que j’étais musicien ? ».
4) Le dédain
Réponse cinglante de Cz : « Musicien, toi ! Ne me fais pas rire stp ! ».
5) Le choc générationnel
Revers croisé de Keyser : « Tu te crois intelligent, vieux looser ? ».
6) L’intérêt
Montée au filet de Cz : « Tu aimes quoi d’autre comme musique ? ».
7) La révélation
Smash imparable de Keyser : « Joy Division, Front 242, Nitzer Ebb, l’EBM en général… Et aussi des trucs que tu ne dois pas connaitre vu que tu es trop vieux ! ».
8) La tempérance
Cz n’est pas mauvais perdant : « Calme toi petit homme, moi aussi je suis musicien.
The Breath Of Life, Texas Trauma, … Tu connais ? Non, trop jeune évidement.
Fais-moi écouter ton truc, si j’aime, je te propose un deal sans compromis : je chante dessus ! ».
9) La promesse
Le pacte de Cz : « C’est pas mal du tout, je vais bosser à mort et, dans trois semaines,
je t’aurai pondu 13 textes imparables ».
10) La concrétisation
Avril 2018, Cz a tenu parole. Les 13 titres sont enfin terminés.
Le « mastering » de l’album (Escape Lane) est signé Len Lemeire (Implant).
Il est disponible chez Wool-E-Disc.
Une musique que l’on peut qualifier de Dark/Synth Pop.
Des influences allant de Fad Gadget, The Neon Judgement à New Order…
Des synthés non apprivoisés, des guitares 100% new wave et une voix... froide mais chaude (ne cherchez pas à comprendre).
