About Oak Now Willow

During lock-down we met at the harbor with coffee and bread to form a band.
In a time with much distancing it felt good to gather forces and create something new.
After a few sessions with improvisation and arrangement of songs we went to Nikolajs
summerhouse-studio in a remote corner of Denmark called Hjortdal to capture this new found
joy of co-creation. Then going back to the harbor for another studio session, standing tight
spreading the wings.

Inspired by a Neil Young album cover we had Peter take off the bass drum head when setting
up for recording. We put Katrine in a cage and the jazz chorus at stage. Cooking omelets,
switching guitars, hanging by the fire. The circle felt playful, warm, gentle and free.

We hope you feel the urge to hug someone, dance and plant trees while listening.
