Deejay Young

Deejay Young is an Entertainer, Singer/Songwriter, & Independent Recording Artist, hailing from Tampa, Florida.

Getting his first start at the young age of 5 on the National Tour of the hit Gospel-theatrica l stage play, "Daddy Please Don't Leave", he continued performing, & has performed at many prestigious and historic venues across the world, such as Radio City Music Hall & Kobe World Hall in Japan.

He is currently joined amongst the company of actors with the First National Tour of Lin Manuel Miranda’s Broadway-smash hit, HAMILTON.

Young has also been highly received in Gospel arena, and has worked with greats such as Grammy Winners: Yolanda Adams, the Winans, and superstar duo, Mary Mary, who hand chose him, along with television network, WeTV to perform at the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans as the 2014 Raise Your Voice Contest honoree.

His Debut Album, "The Rebirth" was released in 2013, and his latest album, “PRIMITIVE” debuted at #4 on U.S. iTunes R&B Albums Chart & #150 on the U.S. Global Albums Chart, respectively.

For all of his recorded works, Young has garnered 4 Independent Music Awards, 2 Contemporary Acapella Recording Awards, & is currently a two-time semi-finalist ballot contender for the 59th Annual Grammy Awards.
