The One Eighties

The One Eighties is a name that suits Autumn Brand and Daniel Cook down to their core. After garnering high praise with their former band New Reveille from The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Billboard, CMT, DittyTV, and performing at Americanafest and beyond, they were just starting to make a name for themselves. But like many a common tale, their record label folded, the pandemic hit, creative differences arose, and the band went their separate ways. After many months contemplating what to do and figuring out their sound, the notoriously indecisive songwriters decided to press forward as a duo. They did a “180” and changed the course of their musical lives, energized by the challenge of striking out on their own. Combining traditional Americana instrumentation with synthesizers on songs such as their debut single “Dead Star Light,” a song about letting go of the past, The One Eighties are embracing all the possibilities that lie ahead.
