About Die Shiny

With the release of their sophomore EP Sex, edgy electropop outfit Die Shiny has started a growing wave of buzz in the SLC music scene. Formed by songwriter/bassist Callie Crofts and drummer/audio engineer Zac Bryant, the project is a refreshingly unique commentary on the absurdity of existence and a marriage of cerebral darkness to danceable fun.

Produced by Danger.Less in Provo, UT, Die Shiny’s first single “Radio” emerged in 2019, followed by their 2020 debut EP Drugs in the midst of a pandemic and the indefinite screeching halt of live concerts. Soon after, Bryant sought education as an audio engineer, and the DIY duo decided to study the art of music production. The following 2-year hiatus ended with their first live show in 2022 and their first self-produced single “Undertaker” which saw the couple move into new creative territory and quickly became their most-streamed track. They've since incorporated guitarist Matt Wiley into their live show experience and opened for national touring acts like Mystery Skulls and The Ivy.

Early 2024 has seen Die Shiny grow their audience massively overnight with the release of Sex and it’s visually stunning and deeply moving music video for “Sacrament” - an anthem of self-sovereignty and liberation from religious control. The group wowed fans with an energy-packed (and physically packed) EP release show, and they don’t plan to slow down any time soon as they are currently planning future shows and recording new music.
