Forbidden Archives

Forbidden Archives is a dynamic three-piece band based in Northern California, featuring Mercy (lead vocals), Kyle (drums), and Bryan (vocals, bass, keyboards, and ukulele). Originally formed in early 2021 under the name Nineteen Eighty-Four, Bryan and Kyle began writing and performing together, both as a duo and alongside various guest musicians. In 2025, the band welcomed Mercy as their new lead vocalist and embraced a new chapter by rebranding as Forbidden Archives—a name they felt more accurately represented their evolving sound and identity. The band’s music draws from a wide range of influences, blending elements of rock, electronic, pop, hip hop, punk, and indie. Known for their high-energy performances, Forbidden Archives delivers a live experience that is both captivating and uniquely their own.
