About LPMC
“A juggernaut of catchy melodies, bold lyrical imagery and powerhouse vocals”
- RGM Magazine
“I love Lee’s voice, it has a raw power!
- Christian Carlisle (BBC Introducing)
“I’m already obsessed! - Ellie Colton (BBC Upload)
Rotherham’s Lee McMahon spent 6 years as chief songsmith and frontman of popular South Yorkshire 4 piece ‘The Tivoli’. The band hit the headlines with powerful live performances and the album ‘National Service’. The orchestration of sell out shows across the UK encouraged a collaboration with Sheffield music legend Richard H Kirk, who remixed the album to spawn the uncompromising industrial upper cut, 'National Service Rewind'. The aftermath earned play-listing on the BBC’s Radio 1, 6music and Introducing channels. Following the disbandment of the group in 2014, McMahon retreated from the music spotlight.
After spending some considerable amount of time on the bench McMahon re-enters the fray as solo artist LPMC.
‘Providence’ is LPMC’s first recorded moment; a LP which chronicles an eclectic ensemble of personal, post industrial hometown vignettes that grapple between silent struggles in the death throes of a welfare state and the will to conquer them with defiance and dignity.
Already championed by BBC Introducing, BBC Upload and pockets of the music press, LPMC is proving an exciting prospect amongst a fanbase that continues to grow as 'Main Street' becomes the fourth offering from the popular and critically acclaimed album.
