Poi Rogers

Art Boutiki is a gem. First time we've seen Poi in a club setting and their sound is amazing. Top notch musical talents, great songwriting, and lots of fun. Can't wait to see Carolyn and Gerard again!

Poi Rogers (aka Carolyn Sills on stand-up bass and Gerard Egan on guitar and triple-neck Fender steel blew away the guests for over two hours and took time to mingle and chat about their music and instruments. Poi Rogers is a subset of The Carolyn Sills Combo with two albums of Western Swing under their belt to date, each a gem, one devoted to elaborating on the characters in the Marty Robbins' song El Paso. Seating, refreshments, restroom, easy free parking all part of the experience.

We were so thrilled to be there early because these two musicians are awesome. Unfortunately, the manager had to close down Malone’s due to no evening bartender or servers for the evening. What a loss for revenue for Malone’s and for the musicians. We did see the musicians as we were leaving, they were just as surprised as we were. Everyone was throughly disappointed. Great hugs all around along with alternate plans to go elsewhere. I’m going to give them a 5 star because I have seen them play in the past.
