About Joanna Duda Trio
„The newest album of Joanna Duda Trio
is a sensational thing”
Joanna Duda's trio increased the sum
of artistic good in the Universe”
„(…) just like in Bach's work, everything is
done in a miraculous way. Polyphony
of styles, methods and sounds "
- Jazz Forum about FUMITSUKE
album
The Joanna Duda Trio was created at
the end of 2017. Originally, envisaged as
an extension of my solo explorations on
the album KEEN, I quickly realised that
I should create something completely
di erent with the superb musianship of
Maksymilian Mucha on double bass and
FX and Michał Bryndal on drums and
electronics.
The trio format allows me to use the
acoustic piano in a way that I like:
rhythmic, percussive, gurative and
ostinato. With the use of techniques
taken from classic etudes or Bach - long
unisons and short polyphones, a lot of
chords, few sounds, beats and
meditation, soft and loud, serious and
fun - the common denominators for our
sound, are intellect, understanding
through listening, and the feeling that
we've put into this music.
