These California Country Sweethearts never disappoint

Smoky Mountains (Frankie Lawson and Adam Lazio) opened up Women Of Country night at The Cinema Bar with a bang. This was my first time seeing them with a full band and I can safely say this is a duo to keep an eye on. Their show was incredible. Beautiful/ powerful singing, classic country with influences ranging from the 1950s through the 1990s. Smoky Mountains is Traditional Country Music of today. The rest of the Women Of Country show was hosted by the Spectacular Rosy Nolan who plays in a truly Traditional Country style. She writes originals with smart and edgy lyrics but to melodies that feel like they go perfectly with anything from The Carter Family or Hazel Dickens. Rosy Nolan and Grand Ole Country Bunker invited a number of Women in the California Country scene. The result was a sort of Showcase of who's who in Los Angeles Country Music. The Women of Country seems to be developing into a series of concerts and I am looking forward to seeing what they do for their next show.
