Ron Adelaar

Ron Adelaar (1960) is a Dutch-based pianist and composer of neoclassical, meditative piano compositions. Ron had an early introduction to piano music, as he started his career at the age of 13 by playing the organ and piano at several churches in his hometown Amersfoort (The Netherlands), all together with his father Ton Adelaar who played the flute.

After that, and now for almost 40 years, Ron is a pianist and conductor of a choir in his hometown Amersfoort. His passion has always been to create his own contemporary compositions and share it with others. Because of the technical possibilities nowadays he’s able to share his own piano compositions with the rest of the world and is doing so since July 2018. His works are all recorded in his home studio and on a beautiful Grotrian Steinweg piano (1929).

Ron’s neoclassical piano compositions are melodic and soothing. They contribute to relax, meditate or to maintain concentration and focus during work.

Pianist/composer Ron is also A&R at piano record label Andante Piano (Amsterdam). Andante Piano is a sublabel of Disruptive Records B.V. and was founded in 2020 by his son Ivo Adelaar. Besides his own music, Andante Piano releases neoclassical pianomusic of many (inter)national pianoplayers.
