Scout Gillett is a Missouri-born, LA-based songwriter whose sophomore album Tough Touch marks a bold leap forward. Following her 2022 debut no roof no floor, Gillett channels years of nonstop touring, heartbreak, a near-fatal accident, and a cross-country move into songs that are raw, expansive, and fiercely self-possessed. Blending gritty cosmic twang with grunge-edged urgency, Tough Touch showcases her growth as a writer and powerhouse vocalist. Recorded largely live after a self-described “build-a-band” tour, the album captures an artist stepping fully into her voice—vulnerable, explosive, and unmistakably her own.
