Helicopter Copter

Helicopter Copter is a series of sound-forward mixed media art projects, incorporating experimental processes, materials, and collaborations. Perc Ens, a Helicopter Copter project, is a minimalism percussion ensemble, performing high intensity yet low volume acoustic compositions. Inspired by composers Steve Reich and Terry Riley, Perc Ens achieves moments of flourished epiphany juxtaposed against droning repetition, like a tacitly humble solo shaker. The latest release, Hear Yourself, is marimba, bells, drum set, and hand percussion, all composed to showcase the melody, rhythm, and timbre of each instrument.
