The Mark Margolies Duo gave another sensational performance , blending guitar, vocals and harmonica. The Boiler Room is a cozy intimate setting with a fine menu of food and cocktails. Whether you see Mark Margolies with his band or as a duo, you will not be disappointed! Mark Margolies is among the best in the blues, and you will know why after a single performance!

Had a great time. Mark and his amazing band are the quintessential blues band both in style and substance. I highly recommend you see them at their next gig.

About Mark Margolies
The debut album from Philadelphia guitar veteran Mark Margolies is steeped in the blues tradition. Produced by Mikey Junior, one of Philadelphia’s best known and accomplished blues entertainers, this album pays homage to such artists as B.B. King, Memphis Slim, Roy Brown, Muddy Waters, Sonny Boy Williamson II, Freddie King and Lowell Fulson, Benny Goodman, and Lionel Hampton. Backed by a solid band, Mark Margolies infuses classic blues grooves with a jazz sensibility.
The title track “Can’t You See” is an original composition set to a familiar blues form. The lyrics have a double entendre as many blues songs often do. The eye chart and phoropter which are found on the album cover are part of the mystique. “Doctor Mark” is also a licensed Optometrist.
The other nine songs honor an art form which is deeply rooted in American history, and which touch the soul of many people worldwide. “Can’t You See” has a traditional “old school blues” feel with some modern touches and swinging arrangements.
