About Plastic Lemonade
Plastic Lemonade, at its core, is an experimental indie group formed by Nathan Cain (producer) and Kyle Willison (instrumentalist) in 2021 in Amsterdam, Ohio. The duo is now joined by a multifaceted team including; Damon Bonar (guitar/piano), Kaitlyn Markert (vocals/ukulele), Joe Ash (drummer), and Garrett Wiley (percussionist). Upon relocating to Athens, Ohio, the group has taken inspiration from the chaotic underground scene and fused it with the upbeat gloom of their hometown.
Following a chaotic first year, the band released their debut EP I AM DEATHLY AFRAID OF FISH, featuring four songs in four genres, and no fish. The EP was pushed to a 2022 release after the band lost three years of recording and had to piece together lost music from sparse corrupted files (which is the entire EP).
The band is currently pursuing its debut album. The spark for this came from a production masterclass with Spoon drummer, Jim Eno, as well as the finalization of the band's apartment studio... to be continued
