I don’t go to ORU, but I had school the next day and I decided to make last minute plans to go to Winter Jam and found me a new favorite singer, Sean Be, and I’m really glad I got to get a high five with him while leaving. But I might go see him in Kansas.

About Sean Rodriguez

Known for songs “Center Stage” and “Step Into My Story” Sean Rodriguez (F.K.A. Sean BE) is a pastor-turned artist who took the full leap of faith to focus on music when he and his family moved to Nashville in 2022.

The calling? To create Christ-centered music that inspires hope in today’s generations. “I want this music to encourage everyone—[we pray] that seeds planted today will lead to growth tomorrow.”

That’s why it was especially exciting for Sean to appear on Winter Jam 2023, putting his music and message in front of thousands. The payoff? Pre-Winter Jam's “Center Stage” now has 2.5M+ streams to date.

It’s a family affair for the Rodriguezes, which adds to his appeal in listeners of all ages. Meshing a pastoral heart, biblical background and purposeful performances is Sean’s unique recipe.

In November 2023 he wrote “Jesus Will” (coming July '24) after the unexpected death of his aunt. “I felt joy—knowing she's in Heaven—but complete heartbreak." This grief gave Sean his most poignant lyrics to date, as heard in the hook: "When you can’t carry the weight of all you feel, Jesus Will."

At the heart of Sean's inspiration is his preacher grandfather. “At 70 he has the energy of a young man!” His obedience grounds my faith. His leadership inspires my purpose." This premise created the song, “House of God” (dropping Jun '24). “Pastor Grandpa's [diverse] church helped shape who I am.”

These influences work together to fuel Sean’s purpose. “I hope I can make both God and my grandfather very proud.”

He adds, "God gave us purpose, so we have to LIVE on purpose.”
