About Luxury Goods
Luxury Goods offer a mindset of fiercely fighting to love yourself and the world around us. Introspective lyrics, hypnotizing synths, catchy guitar hooks and drums that instantly make you wanna be at a gig are woven into melodies that your mind keeps wandering back to. And then there is Leonie’s voice.
Their alternative pop is bold, powerful and unapologetic, because... we are all Luxury Goods
Luxury Goods' music has been played on BBC Radio 6, BBC Introducing, the BBC Introducing Hot List and Amazing Radio. They have performed at Tramlines Festival, Liverpool Sound City, ESNS, Long Division and Y Not Festival. And have supported high-profile acts Martha Hill, Orchards, Self Esteem, Skinny Pelembe, Our Girl and While She Sleeps. The band has an impressive track record that culminated in being chosen as one of the best emerging artists of 2020 by Glastonbury Festival.
Building on these successes, Luxury Goods released their debut EP ‘This is No Time to Dance’ – a four track release showcasing infectious energy and punchy indie-come-alternative-pop soundscapes which move between biting intensity and melancholic reflection (Backseat Mafia).
“Thoughtful and uplifting pop that shimmers in energy, and delights with its lyrical content.” - Music Liberation for Glastonbury EMT Competition
“Luxury Goods’ music is best described as enchanting. Lead-singer Leonie pulls you in with her intoxicating vocals and firmly keeps you in her grasp until the very last song. I’m not a religious person but watching them perform their ambient, mellow indie-pop is almost spiritual.” - Tipping Point UK
"The only thing as good as Luxury Goods' music on record is their music live. Luxury Goods has had an incredible year and justifiably so" - BBC Introducing Sheffield
“UK-based, Dutch musician Luxury Goods is one of Holland’s most intriguing new singer-songwriters, having carved a reputation as someone who is able to capture the pure essence of human emotion within her music.” - All Things Loud
