EDW1SE, known offstage as Edward Wiseman, is an independent musician originally from North Attleboro, MA. He currently lives in South Boston where he is attending school, a music major at Bunker Hill Community College. He was recently hired as a music instructor at the Boston School of Music Arts in Lower Mills, and is composing the soundtrack for an indie video game currently in production by Knight Bear Studios.
He was originally a bass guitarist and played in a few well known local Punk and Metal bands throughout his teen years. In 2009 he decided he wanted more creative flexibility and switched to playing acoustic guitar. Since then he has composed and performed many original songs and continues to do so. EDW1SE also started teaching private music lessons in 2017 for guitar, bass, ukulele, and music production. He has a modest but professional home studio where he records his own music and rents to other musicians as a producer using self-taught technique. EDW1SE's goal as a musician is to have a career in music, either touring as a performing artist, or teaching at a public school, junior college, or university.
EDW1SE is best known for his unique style of fingerstyle acoustic guitar playing which combines elements of all of his favorite music to listen to (Emo, Pop-Punk, Math Rock), with the complex musicality of classical guitar. Though he has dedicated almost 14 years to his original music, he has finally discovered his direction and the steps needed to follow it. Keep an eye on EDW1SE, because the best is yet to come.
