About Elanor Moss
Elanor Moss has shared new single ‘Sorry Song’, the beginning of a soundtrack cataloguing the aftermath of the events that inspired the ‘Citrus’ EP, and her growth as both a person and a songwriter in the wake of it.
Recorded in Brooklyn with frequent collaborator Oli Deakin (CMAT, Lowpines), ‘Sorry Song’ finds Elanor building on the sonic world of ‘Citrus’, fusing a familiar palette of warm woodwind and vocal harmonies with new additions of delicate drums, baritone and electric guitars.
The single, unsurprisingly, finds Moss in an apologetic mood. An acknowledgement of love & support received and of care not taken, ‘Sorry Song’ is a remarkable and honest piece of self reflection where Moss delicately balances difficult subject matter with light-hearted observation. It’s the sound of a masterful songwriter exploring their own craft with confidence and subtlety.
Since the spring the release of debut EP ‘Citrus’, Moss has found herself championed and playlisted across BBC 6 Music, on tour opening for artists like Christian Lee Hutson, Benjamin Francis Leftwich and Cassandra Jenkins and performing on the stages of festivals including Green Man, Deer Shed, How The Light Gets In, Gold Sounds and This Must Be The Place. Performances at Pitchfork London and Live at Leeds are still to come.
