About Halo Kitsch

Pop-rock artist Halo Kitsch whirled into Los Angeles with the same might & fury as the Woolsey fire; the natural disaster that pushed her out of her childhood home 45 minutes north of the city and landed her in the heart of glistening Hollywood. It was the first of many times throughout her burgeoning career that she would turn lemons into lemonade, circumstance into opportunity, or, in her own words, “heartbreak into bangers”… a sort of mantra to the SoCal native singer-songwriter. She’s woven a broken heart into over 20 songs, a debut EP, more than 2 million streams, radio play, countless editorial playlists, press recognition, and a growing online following. In 2022 her song “Daddy’s Girl” placed as a semi-finalist in American Songwriter’s Annual Song Contest. This year she is back with a vengeance. Halo’s most recent single “i was a virgin (on drugs),” produced by Ben Zelico, is the sonic representation of a middle finger held defiantly to the sky, pointed at her past, and standing strongly amidst the rubble of a younger, weaker version of herself. An ode to naivety & corruption, but redemptive in nature, the track leaves its listener with the feeling that they are powerful because of what they have overcome and not in spite of it. Lemons, into lemonade. Circumstance into opportunity. The Queen of Silver linings once again reminds us that wounds heal… scars fade.
