About Meth Math
Led by vocalist Ángel Ballesteros and backed by producers error.error (Efrén Coronado) and Bonsai Babies (To Robles), neo-perreo overlords, Meth Math, grew up in the manufacturing-heavy city of Hermosillo, Sonora, 1200 miles northwest of Mexico City. Split between Hermosillo & CDMX, Angélica alsoruns her own clothing design label, Baby Angel, and art project, Antes de Cristo, which makes use of random spaces - from shopping malls to stretch limousines - for art shows.
Their four track EP, Pompi, bedded down the thriving energy present in Mexico City’s neo-perrero DIY scene, as well as pulling in influences from further afield, such as The Knife and Micachu, amidst a dreamy tripped-out haze that evokes hometown nostalgia. Their nightmarish take on Latin club music has had been featured in i-D, Mixmag, The Face and Crack Magazine.
