Hanovers is a great place to relax and take in the music! The Intemperate Sons put on a fantastic show. Their music is a blend of Stone Temple Pilots, Nirvana even heard influences from the Beatles and Rolling Stones! All original young band that seems they've been around a lot longer than they have been. If you have a chance to catch them, do it! You'll enjoy them!

About The Intemperate Sons

The Intemperate Sons burst onto the alternative rock scene in Dallas, TX, in the summer of 2019, immediately distinguishing themselves with a sound that blends searing guitar riffs, haunting melodies, and raw emotional depth. By 2021, their unmistakable talent caught the attention of Ryan Shuck and Amir Derakh—legends in the rock world through their work with Orgy, Dead By Sunrise, and Julien-K—who signed the band to their label, Frame|Work.

Formed by the Watson family—Keith (drums), Jake (guitars), and Max (vocals, guitars, keys)—alongside longtime friend and bassist Mark Marks, The Intemperate Sons are a family affair with a deep-rooted connection that permeates every note they play. Keith, a seasoned performer known for energizing massive crowds with past projects like Gun Hill, Natural Born Thrillers, and Agents of Solace, lays down the lyrical and rhythmic foundation of the band. His work on tracks like "Dust to Dust," "The Color Within," and "Unrealized" showcases his ability to tap into the darker recesses of the human psyche, turning personal pain into anthemic rock.

Max Watson, the band's multi-instrumentalist and frontman, brings a unique blend of versatility and intensity to the table. His collaborations with Keith on tracks like "Way Back When" reveal a voice that is as compelling as it is diverse. Max's meticulous approach to studio work, where he often crafts complex vocal harmonies, ensures that each song resonates on a visceral level. His lyrical voice on tracks like “Faceless Man” and “Once Again” showcases his talent as a voice of a generation.

Jake Watson, the band's chief architect of sound, is a master of musical storytelling. His innovative approach to songwriting—evident in tracks like "Remission," "Way Back When," and "Wading in the Gray"—transforms lyrics into powerful narratives. His role extends beyond the music, as his artistic vision influences everything from the band's visual identity to their on-stage presence.

Mark Marks, the unifying force on bass, brings both experience and groove to the band. A veteran of the Dallas music scene, Mark's contributions to The Intemperate Sons’ songwriting process are indispensable. His past successes, including opening for rock icons like Sebastian Bach, are a testament to his talent and dedication.

Even a global pandemic couldn’t slow The Intemperate Sons down. In the face of unprecedented challenges, the band forged ahead, collaborating with rock heavyweights like Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck, who have not only produced two of their most popular singles "Game of Keep Away” and “Dark Day’s Night”, but have also deeply influenced the band's evolving sound, especially on their extremely well received second album, Dark Day’s Night.

Their partnership with Tony Franklin (The Firm, Whitesnake) on their debut album, The Color Within, further underscores the band's commitment to excellence, with Franklin’s bass work adding depth to standout tracks like "Dust to Dust" and the title track.

The Intemperate Sons offer a compelling take on alternative rock, merging the gritty intensity of hard rock with folk and grunge elements. Their music is a dark, introspective journey that resonates with the soul, drawing comparisons to iconic bands like Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, and R.E.M. The familial bond between the Watson clan manifests in their unique sound—a blend of guitar-driven anthems and intricate vocal harmonies that echo long after the final chord.
