grimoires

Grimoires ("grim-wahrs") is a semi-instrumental Bay Area trio that dances across styles including post-hardcore, shoegaze, punk, and more. Formed during the first year of the pandemic by Dev Addison Bhat, Daniel Macias-Bernardo, and Ash Hyatt, Grimoires started as a side project of swapping music stems and midi parts that would eventually form their first EP, Book I. The band aims to create a combination of high energy, volume, and melodic groove through nostalgic guitar textures, hard-hitting drums, dynamic bass, and sparse yet meaningful lyrics. Book II was released in 2023, and Book III is upcoming.
