Cardinal Black

As I suspected…this great band is even better live. The energy, passion and enthusiasm they have while performing is contagious. They pull you along with them. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. Hope to be able to see them again sometime soon.

Excellent , venue , staff, sound, seats. BAND. All top class A+ 5 stars

Absolutely outstanding live band. Must confess I've only been into them for a year or so, and I saw them for the first time, this week. Drove 3 hours from Milan to Livorno and it was worth every penny/ euro/ cent. Tom the lead singer put his life and soul into his performance, as did the whole band. I've honestly not seen such a performance in a long time. Their involvement with a mostly Italian crowd was superb, the atmosphere was really good, happy and Chris & Tom really involved everyone, even speaking a little Italian, which was very well received. The whole band were super- tight, and their performance was way higher than 10/10. Tom's vocal range is sublime but Chris's guitar playing is, as most people will know, is on another level! His technique is sublime; just look at his videos on Facebook, or the band's Youtube videos. I then returned to Milan, and, 4 days later saw them there. Another exemplary performance!! I brought my Italian girlfriend who speaks very little English, and even she was super impressed. Do yourself a favour and make seeing Cardinal Black a priority; they are very humble, down to earth, but give an outstanding live performance.

An Amazing night spent with the incredible Cardinal Black Perfect sound set up👌👌👌 Attended the VIP meet an greet sound check etc Worth every penny The guys were so friendly and accommodating Brilliant experience Looking forward to to seeing them at the Blackbird festival in Cardiff and hopefully back at the junction next year too Let’s do it again 💯🤟😎

I have been following this band since I first saw them on Joe Bonamassa's cruise a couple of years ago. As usual, they were superb. Strangely enough it was my first visit to the Engine ROoms, despite having lived only 10 miles away for the past 20 years. I was impressed with the venue, and the sound quality. As a wheelchair user, I was treated respectfully by both staff and patrons. Singer Tom Hollister said they played the venue a year earlier and just over 200 people attended. This year it was heaving, with 700 people, all in full voice. The band was tight, Tom's vocals strong and powerful, proven when he walked up the the edge of the stage and sang with no microphone! Chris Buck's guitar work is always nothing short of jaw dropping. He did not disappoint. His tone is surreal, he plays with such feeling. All in all, I came out of that gig on a high, which I still felt the next day.

This was our first Cardinal Black gig.. they did not Disappoint. They were fantastic. Venue was brilliant, I wasn't sure what it would be like, as I had not been before. I am definitely going to see Cardinal Black again. Also because the venue was so good, will be seeing more bands there. Loved it.

Great gig.....savage guitar playing .....a really entertaining band.....very witty frontman with a hum dinger of a voice and plenty of banter.....drummer... keyboard......bass.....all on fire......just got into these guy's recently......a great night.....looking forward to seeing them again.....these lads are on their way up........

Great show. Even though Tom was feeling sick, his voice was great. Everyone played their best. Chris Buck is an amazing guitarist. Solo after solo of perfection. Talented bunch. Don't miss them on their North American tour. Next time they come, tickets will be more expensive. We'll deserved!

Full house under the tent, thank you Cardinal Black! Travel safe from Ontario to Nashville ...your families love you....take care! Phil B.

Great show. Good sound. Chris was amazing on guitar. I'm sure they made many new fans. Go see them if they're not sold out!

This was epic!!! Cardinal Black killed it. The show wound up being at the Gramercy Theater. Can't wait for them to come back to NYC. Highly recommend.

The modern revival of good, handmade, soulful music. There's hope for honest band efforts in 2024/25.

What a gig. What a band. Absolutely superb. I loved it. They really are just a class act. Toms voice is just something else but then Chris takes over with his guitar. I was in absolute awe of him. But it’s not just them. The whole band are so so good. As a whole they really are brilliant.

Cardinal Black were as expected, superb. This was the fourth time I have seen them over the past 12 months or so, and they just get better and better. The extra dimension provided by Tay Cousins' backing vocals was missing on this occasion, but Tom Hollister was amazing and when he sang a passage from the small balcony without a microphone, the sheer power of his vocals was simply incredible to hear. The only downside to the evening was in respect of the venue itself; the stage lighting was practically non-existent and dependent upon where you were standing, the large pillars supporting the roof obscured the view of the musicians. This band is an absolute treasure with a guitarist, the like of whom I have not witnessed for many a year, and I am looking forward to see them again - but hopefully not at this venue. Blackbox in Hastings worked much better when they appeared there last year.

a small venue, with a good vibe. i came all along from Lisbon, Portugal, in order to see the band. Got all that i was expecting for. good interaction with the public. all the band members are "likeable" persons :). everybody works for the song, soulful voice, incredible guitar chops courtesy of a XXI century guitar hero (but allways without beeing excesive). great harmony vocals. the pleasure i had was the pleasure that you showed playing your music. Thank you so much.

Amazing! I almost cried listening the melodies and guitar solos… I even closed my eyes a couple times just to feel the tone! Incredible band! Amazing songs!
