In a fast-paced world concerned with what’s next, Texas singer songwriter Keller Cox writes to the moment.

“Music is a moment and memory, a song,” he says. “I could tell you exactly where I was and the way I felt the first time I heard songs like ‘Run’ by George Strait and ‘Springsteen’ by Eric Church. When I’m writing, that’s the feeling I’m chasing.”


Raised on the country music of the 2000s, Keller discovered Texas Country while attending Texas A&M University, where he found the songwriting tradition that would ultimately shape the course of his career. It was there that he began writing songs of his own, but it was the quieter months of 2020 that gave him the time and space to fully commit to the craft. What started as a creative outlet quickly became a calling, setting him on a path that has since led from late-night writing sessions to stages across Texas and beyond.

The momentum has only continued to build, with Keller since sharing stages with Willie Nelson, Flatland Cavalry, The Castellows, Corey Kent, and The Josh Abbott Band. He also earned a finalist nomination for New Male Vocalist at the 2025 T3R Texas Music & Radio Awards and scored two Top 10 singles on Texas Country Radio. Piece by piece, a career has emerged through compelling songs, relentless touring, and a reputation that continues to grow both onstage and in the writing room.

As a songwriter, Keller is emerging as one of country music's most promising new voices. His unreleased song "Way Things Work," earned second place in this year's International Songwriting Competition, while fellow Texan William Clark Green recently recorded and released “Cowtown,” a song the pair wrote backstage at the iconic Billy Bob's Texas on his latest album, Watterson Hall. Whether writing for himself or for another artist, Keller is guided by the same goal: creating songs that linger long after the last note fades.

Earlier this year, Keller released the deluxe edition of his EP, Care To Look (Between The Lines), recorded with producer Dwight Baker at Matchbox Studios. The expanded project offers an even deeper look into the perspective that defines his songwriting, finding meaning in everyday moments and turning them into songs listeners can carry with them. Now at work on his third full-length album, slated for release in 2027, Keller continues to follow the instinct that first drew him to songwriting.
