About Mister Tickle Hands
Like a strange science experiment that went terribly right, the musical partnership of Roshane Karunaratne (The Front Bottoms | Remember Jones) and Andrew Robinson (Brother Andrew), proved to produce the artistic concatenation of musical prowess known as Mister Tickle Hands.
Although music of Mister Tickle Hands purposely eludes a categorical domonimation in practice, the group constantly touches a uniquely loose, electronic dance vibe, that evokes the imagination of childhood splendors, romantic escapades, and the darkest corners of your brain. This is accomplished at exactly the point where the production talents, and musical file cabinet like the brain of Roshane Karunaratne meets the blindly ambitious and reckless songwriting talent of Andrew Robinson.
The result is an explosion of sounds, colors, emotions and feeling, held together by a BPM that causes the listeners endorphin count to nearly double by the end of their legendary 3-5 hour long sets.
Their debut single, entitled De Bellen (translating to “The Bells” in dutch) is the first of several recordings due to be released over the next several months. The childlike nature of the band is displayed in full in this energetic frivolous track that features elements of modern electronic music with latin percussion, hand-pans, the Juno-60 synthesizer, and of course, a few bells.
