About OH MY EYES
We are a Post Pandemic Psychedelic Surf band based in Seattle. Weaving high-energy, soulful hooks over cynical narratives about uncertainty, consumer culture, and societal collapse.
Starting as a group of songwriters who met weeks prior to the pandemic, members of OH MY EYES were active participants in the BLM protests leading up to the creation of the Capitol Hill Organized Protest (CHOP). We’re staunch advocates for self-organization and leveling social hierarchies. We adamantly reject authoritarianism, white supremacy, heteronormativity, and any system that oppresses our BIPOC, and LGBTQ family. We believe social structures should be cooperative and function from an ethic of mutual aid rather than competition. All of our songs resonate with this point of view and we hope to share this conviction with like-minded people.
Locals of Seattle, WA bandmates Jordan OH, Nick MY, Casey FUCKING, and Dylan EYES work together to strengthen their songwriting skills by learning from each other and listening with intention.
