About La Serena (EU)
La Serena was founded in 2021 out of the love of both musicians for Sephardic music. The fascination stems from the many music, nationalities and stories that flow through this music. Van den Berg and Jaeger deliberately opted for a 'female' duo, because the music they play survived in the Ottoman Empire, thanks to the role of women. With this they want to let the power, charm and color of the music sound to the fullest.
