Emma & the Idles

EMMA & THE IDLES (based in London, U.K.) have their roots set in indie, heavy pop, rock and a sprinkling of soul. This combines with a sharp and thought provoking songwriting style, which asks many question, provides some answers but always delivers a killer jam. Hailed as 'Jessie J meets Joan Jett' and regularly compared to Florence + the machine and No doubt.

Whilst busking and performing acoustically at venues in and around London, Emma decided to form a band to accelerate her sound, and boy did she get it. Made up of two guitarist, our rhythm wizz and french export Etienne Miemczyk and Essex boy Alex Scott on lead guitar, the god of all things bass Craig Rattery, our very own Chopin, Dan Michalek on keys, and the guy making those beats snap, Daniel Ajiteru on drums. And then we have the glue that holds the madness together lead singer and songwriter Emma Withers.

Emma & the Idles are planning to storm the scene, with a string of successful ‘electric’ live performances already under their belt since forming in 2020, you can expect to see and hear a lot more from these guys, they say if you put your ear to a sea shell you can hear Emma’s Joplin-esque wailing over a chorus heavy guitar noodle….
