Widows Gold

Widows Gold was founded by power couple, Madeline Star and Ben Sauer, during the pandemic. The two were joined by Ian Zamora on bass and recorded their self-titled EP in 2021. They quickly followed up with their debut album Love Drops in January 2022 and an infectious single “Nothing Can Break Me” in August 2023. The group has continued to evolve their songwriting chops, work with producers like Alex Newport (At the Drive-In, Bloc Party, Death Cab for Cutie) and become a mainstay around the Los Angeles underground scene.

Inspired by the likes of Pretenders and Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Widows Gold is forming their own brand of post-punk that has teeth-sinking hooks, world class vocals and an unapologetic edge that feels equal parts nostalgic and timeless.
