About Jamaul, The Vision
Jamaul, The Vision is an American Haitian rapper, singer, songwriter, record executive, entrepreneur, and actor, whose lyrical depth and storytelling have earned him a place in modern hip-hop. Hailing from Broward County, FL, Jamaul’s journey into music began as a form of self-expression, channeling his experiences in a world where the struggle for identity, survival, and purpose were ever-present.
From an early age, Jamaul found solace in the rhythm and poetry of hip-hop. Drawing inspiration from rap icons like Lil’ Wayne, Kendrick Lamar, and Eminem, he absorbed their messages while crafting his own unique style. What sets Jamaul apart is his ability to weave complex themes—social injustice, personal pain, triumph, and spirituality—into his lyrics. His music is not just entertainment; it’s a reflection of his life and the broader human experience.
Jamaul’s musical journey gained momentum with the release of several standout singles, including Jump Off The Porch (2022), Be Like Me Freestyle (2022), Candles (2023), and Passing Through (2023). Each track showcases his versatility as an artist, blending gritty, hard-hitting bars with introspective storytelling. With the release of his breakout mixtapes, Mixtape Crazy (2023) and Mixtape Crazy B Side (2024), both hosted by DJ MLK, who is also known as T.I.’s DJ, garnered a following and support from the biggest mixtape platform, LiveMixtapes.
Jamaul also expanded into film, serving as an executive producer and actor in This Unexpected Love. The soundtrack, released in 2024, features the lead single “Creole Roots”, for which a music video was released featuring Tonye Garrick and Flav, alongside Jamaul himself.
Beyond music and film, Jamaul is active in his community through the nonprofit Sons and Daughters of Haiti, advocating for change and empowerment within the Haitian community.
