Dangerfields (ZA)

Dangerfields are a 5-piece Post-punk/Alternative band from Cape Town, South Africa. Drawing inspiration from 80’s post-punk and new wave as well as more modern shoegaze and psychedelic-rock sounds, they channel their personal experiences into big, atmosphere-driven songs, well suited to festival and club stages alike. Their music features expressive guitars and synths with primal rhythms and dreamy vocal harmonies.

Since the band started performing in 2016, they have played many of the top local venues and music festivals countrywide and have shared stages with notable international acts such as Thee Oh Sees, A Place to Bury Strangers, Moon Duo, Dead Meadow, Medicine Boy, Night Beats, NONN, The Gluts, YAK, Wolf Alice and more. They have released 2 EPs titled Embers and Ashes, and one full length album titled Echoes & Pulses, released on vinyl through Permanent Record in October 2019.

The band is currently recording preproduction for a new album with the aim of a 2021 release, accompanied by their first international tour.
