About Hazel Musiq
Hazel is a 23-year old vocalist, recording artist and songwriter from Oslo, Norway. Her love of music started at an early age. After learning how to play piano and guitar on her own with the help of her stepfather, she soon began to sing and write songs.
After high school, Hazel decided to put all her energy into music. She moved to Bergen where she began a year of music studies at a renowned music school. She perfected her music skills, wrote songs, performed and found out through self-discovery who she truly is as an artist: A versatile performer with a lot to say, on a mission to make people feel alive and connect with her music.
After signing management in 2018 with LA-based Norwegian music industry executive, Erik Steigen, the focus has been on songwriting and artist development. While Hazel used to write all her songs on her own, she has over the past year and a-half co-written with established producers and artists in Europe and the United States and attended national and international songwriting camps.
Hazel has a unique way of catching her audience’s attention with her soulful voice and meaningful lyrics. She uses music as a gateway to get through to people and to make them dance, smile and cry together with her.
On June 12, 2020, Yaro dropped the single "Think Of You," featuring Hazel on vocals. She also co-wrote the song, which was released on TENTWENTY Records (Sweden).
On August 14, 2020, Danish DJ duo Boye & Sigvardt and Hazel dropped the song “Confessions,” which went straight onto Spotify’s New Music Friday Denmark playlist and many playlists around the world, plus into rotation on Norway's leading pop/dance radio station, NRKMP3. The song was written in Stockholm with Yaro and Nanno from Ten Music Group and released by GL Music in Denmark.
