About Kentucky Ruckus
KENTUCKY RUCKUS is a bourbon fueled rock band from the Bluegrass State of Kentucky. Starting in 2013 as C2 & The Brothers Reed, brothers Kelly and Kody Reed (guitarist; drummer) began seasoning the South with rock ‘n soul alongside James Weishar (keys). In mid 2019, C2 & The Brothers Reed began touring with frontman Matt Red Moore (vocals) as well as Mack Keiffer (bass). The newly acquainted quintet reestablished themselves as Kentucky Ruckus in early 2020.
Kentucky Ruckus’ sound is founded on their genetic and musical inseparability catapulted by the raw energy and pure rowdiness of their live performance. This sonic situation begins with two brothers in a barn, a guitar-and-drum duo whom nurtured an unrivaled rhythmic connection while growing up together in the central Kentucky hills. Heavy-handed keys introduce the foil to downhome guitar licks, while heavy-picked bass style corresponds aggressively with the kick drum. High and dirty vocals complete the high-energy no-rules rock sound that is Kentucky Ruckus."
The band’s first studio album, Space Is A Place, is slated for release in mid 2020. Produced and engineered by Tom Tapley at West End Sound (Atlanta, GA), the album demonstrates an earth-quaking drum and bass combo, smoking hot guitar-and-keys solo tradeoffs, and searing vocal range.
