ThePlayground

The Playground is a project born between 2016 and 2017 in Turin (Italy). Currently the members are Ambra Caprile (vocals), Gabriele Costa (guitar), Elisa Lenhard (bass), Marianna Pacione (drums). Started with the desire to deepen and explore the punk rock sound of the late 60s and early 70s, in particular of bands such as Ramones, Dead Boys,Talking Heads, Stooges, the project has acquired over the years, through the production of own songs, a more singular and specific identity, giving vent to the search for a skinny, linear, noisy sound, but at the same time direct and powerful.
The Playground reflects a playful and ironic mood full of determination and dynamism.
In February 2020 the first studio album Urticaria was released for Scatti Vorticosi Records, an independent label from Turin, which, despite a natural evolution compared to the first productions, maintains its initial identity characterized by a direct, immediate sound and that proto-punk feeling which defines not only a musical era but a lifestyle.
