About The City Kids

The City Kids are the brainchild of Mr Punk N’ Roll himself, JJ Watt. A prolific songwriter, when the Main Grains came to an end, JJ was left with enough material for an album, but no band to take the tracks to the studio. Enter Tigertailz bass guy and long time friend, Berty Burton, at first just to jam and record some covers, this partnership evolved into The City Kids and the momentum began to gather. I am told that the finishing touches are being done to the album, Things That Never Were, which is due for release in Spring. Falling Red’s Dave Sanders and Dennis Post of Warrior Soul fame, complete the line up, with a whole host of other guest artists appearing on the accompanying ‘all covers’ album, ‘Shit That We Like’ the future is looking pretty bright for The City Kids.
