D R I F T W O O D is the music project built around founder and driving force Sam De Bock. Together with Patricia Vanneste (Sohnarr, Hydrogen Sea, ex-Balthazar) and Sam Pieter Janssens (And Then Came Fall, Clairval), they create a unique and idiosyncratic sound that seeks common ground with Massive Attack, Tricky, Lamb and Tom Waits.

The trio released their debut album in 2020: Only Fighters Left Behind. A jet-black investigation into the consequences of loss, fear, shortcoming and own horror. Together with drummer, producer Joey Waronker (Beck, R.E.M, Atoms For Peace, Ultraísta) and bass player Tim Lefebvre (David Bowie, Sting, Elvis Costello), they are currently working on a second album which will be released in 2023.
