About Taragápe
Taragápe music seeks to harmonize duality through reflection, intention, remembrance, & integration. It centers around the handpan, or Terrapan, as well as intentional guitar/lyrical compositions inspired by potent inner/outer journeys and experience.
Taragápe is a new musical project that seeks to explore consciousness through musical expression. Its etymological overlapping core is ‘agape’ and ‘tara.’ In short, agape is one of seven words the Greeks used to describe different types of love. Agape is a form of universal love--love for humanity, love of nature, unconditional love. Tara is a Sanskrit word that means “star” and among other interesting associations, “Tara is the power that uplifts us to higher levels of spiritual understanding, giving us the strength to transcend our troubling thoughts.”
The album Spirit Maze is a musical journey that interweaves through tonalities, emotions, spiritual musings, and deep reflections both personal and collective. It features the tranquil and inspiring handpan (inverted steel drum) in this case called a Terrapan, as well as guitar and lyrical compositions that are heart-centered and inspired by potent inner/outer journeys. Spirit Maze is musical medicine. Even its symbol, featured as album art, signifies this. The entire album is recorded in 432Hz as tribute to the mathematically divisible perfection and as exploration of the notion that 432Hz aligns with the natural frequencies of our planet.
It was recorded in Boulder, Colorado, produced by Dango Rose of Elephant Revival and Evan Reeves. To learn more about the intentions and the creation of the album, please visit the campaign page: https://igg.me/at/spiritmaze
