Mike Haysom

Based in Galloway, Scotland, Mike brings classical and modern fingerstyle guitar techniques to the ukulele creating a dynamic and expressive soundscape. Since picking up the uke a few years ago, he has performed at the Ukulele Festival of Scotland, World of Ukes Christmas Party, Wireless Ukulele Festival, Concert for Carers, Virtual Brooklyn Ukulele Festival and online Gaithersburg UkeFest. He has been featured in UKE Magazine and now writes for the magazine. Mike discovered the ukulele after suffering from severe anxiety, and performing with the uke has enabled Mike to face his fears, make new friends and become part of a community. Mike has released an instrumental album and accompanying ukulele tablature book of his own pieces inspired by his photographs taken In Galloway. Most recently, he released an album of cover songs selecting some of the best covers from his YouTube Channel, where he performs unique multi-ukulele arrangements of popular songs. His channel is funded by patrons (aka “Sombuddies”) through Mike’s Patreon page who receive audio, tabs and other perks in return.
