About Cherie Oakley
Cherie Oakley began singing at the age of 3. Before the age of 6 Cherie had performed in hundreds of churches, recorded her first record, and had a manager in NYC. She sang country music in various festivals and fairs before performing as a junior vocalist on Star Search by age 10. Cherie began working in musical theater throughout the rest of her childhood and into her teens. She moved to Nashville in 2002 and began developing her skills as a songwriter and studio singer. She has toured as a background vocalist for Carrie Underwood, Gretchen Wilson and Kelly Clarkson to name a few. Cherie has appeared on numerous television shows as well as several music videos. In 2011, Cherie celebrated her first #1 hit as a songwriter with "Turn On The Radio", performed by Reba McEntire. Cherie was also featured as a contestant on NBC's "The Voice" season 1 where she was chosen by Christina Aguilera. You can currently hear her singing BGVs on various records, singles and televisions shows.
