My Boy Elroy

MyBoyElroy is the Chicago-based DJ and Beat-Boxer of the world famous, pioneering Acid Jazz group, and Grammy-nominated live act, Liquid Soul. Since 2005 MyBoyElroy has been the Music Director, Creative Director, and DJ for Chicago’s wholly unique gravity-defying Midnight Circus.
In 2013, MyBoyElroy served as the producer and DJ of Digital Tape Machine’s first album, entitled “Be Here Now,” as well as their four-track EP “Omens” in 2014. Digital Tape Machine featured Joel Cummins and Kris Myers.

He’s shared the bill with legendary artists such as B.B. King and Stevie Wonder, pioneers of electronic music such as FKJ, Bonobo, Beardyman, Paul Johnson, Kerri Chandler, Marques Wyatt, Mark Farina, even the seminal trip-hop act, Massive Attack at Chicago’s The Riviera, and has performed at numerous festivals including North Coast, Electric Forest, Taste of Randolph and many more!
 MyBoyElroy’s style is a combination of buttery and emotional mixes and productions of Deep and Funky House, Nu Disco, Tech House, and Instrumental Hip-Hop with beat box and scratching. He has been producing original music since 1998 with releases on Apulia Records, Bulletdodge, Slur, Elevate Tracks, JQM Records, Sea of Sand, and Friction Free.
