About The Know (AU)
The Know are moody midnight rock ‘n’ roll. Sounds like AM, QOTSA and The Black Keys spat in a cup and the boys added it to their Monday morning coffee - the five-piece are an intravenous injection of rumble and groove. Distilled two years ago in Sydney’s inner-west, the band have already headlined and packed out some of the city’s biggest and best with their tight and brazen rock sound (Oxford Art Factory main room, The Lansdowne, The Vanguard, The Chippendale Hotel).
Working with Ocean Alley’s Callum Howell on their most recent two singles “The Joker” and “Honey”, the band ventured into bluesy, stoner-stadium territory, receiving airplay on triple j unearthed and FBI Radio. Their newest song “Hurt Somebody” (release date 24/10/19), the product of recording sessions with producer Wade Keighran (Wolf & Cub, Polish Club), is a romping blues number with shades of fast and loose '60s rock.
Having played King Street Crawl this year, The Know have Newtown Festival in their sights, as well as a support slot with British India and a single launch at Low302, Surry Hills in December to round out a mega 2019.
