Ian Motha

Ian Motha is a singer/songwriter, self taught multi-instrumentalist from the south coast of Massachusetts. Since 2008 he has been performing and writing songs. His performing started in pool bars, local dance halls and house parties to finding his way on stage at world famous clubs such as LA’s Whiskey a Go Go. He has been a regular performer in Providence, Boston and Newport Clubs and restaurants. He plays guitar and sings for The Beatles tribute band The Oh Nos where he has opened for Mickey Dolenz, Peter Tork, Mark Lindsay, Susan Cowsill and shared the stage with Greg Hawkes from The Cars. The Oh Nos have become a crowd favorite at various theaters and festivals.
His original music is influenced by The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Oasis, John Mayer, The Strokes, The Kooks. The music is the weaving of 60’s song structures decorated with colorful guitar work, melodic bass lines and 80’s sounding synthesizers.
