About The Cedar Shakers
The Cedar Shakers are a roots country/indie folk band from San Diego. Lyrically and musically, the band covers a range of musical territory – from bluegrass-inspired numbers and barroom rockers to slow-burn, melodic explorations. The Cedar Shakers came together in 2017 and initially focused on songwriting before hitting San Diego’s live music circuit. The band’s four-song EP, Live from Capricorn Studios, was released in 2020. That was followed by Signs, a full-length album released in 2021 that was nominated for a 2022 San Diego Music Award for Best Country or Americana Album. The band released an electric cover of the classic I Know You Rider in 2022. In between releases The Cedar Shakers continue to perform shows throughout San Diego, and are currently back in the studio recording new music for release in 2024.
