About Naipia

With the unashamedly simple, ear-worm melodies of Ed-Sheeran and huge guitar hooks of Catfish
and the Bottlemen, NAIPIA combine Indie and pop genres, leaving audiences with addictive melodies etched into their minds. Songs about misspent youth, growth of the soul, and hard lessons
learnt, NAIPIA take you to a place of self-reflection whilst shining a light on the beauty of what’s to
come. The message: It’s ok to not be ok.

Vocalist George can be found at the front of the stage, shoe-less, in a power stance insisting you
feel every word that leaves his mouth. At his side, cousin Harry on bass, who, despite never playing bass before the band’s creation, has a natural talent at sitting in the pocket with simple, melodic grooves and Matt on drums who holds the band together with his tight-knit, and creative
rhythm.

NAIPIA’s first single Blues Town has been a regular on BBC Introducing in the SOUTH with audiences
showing love and support and the BBC left wanting more. The recording was a DIY production,
captured in bassist Harry’s garage, using only 6 microphones. Following the band’s first single
came the release of their debut E.P consisting of 3 tracks that were released separately as
singles. The three tracks, I Tried, Message and Warning Signs were recorded, mixed and mastered
by Chris Ostler and Tommy Taylor from Black Honey. All three tracks have since been played on BBC
Introducing and received a lot of love at the band’s sold-out EP release show at The Hope and Ruin
in June.
Through confidence and pride in their music and songwriting, NAIPIA believe that their music can
assist those who are struggling in their minds, bring joy, hope, and a feeling of connection
between people from diverse backgrounds in a world that seems progressively disjointed and
negative. They feel that their stories were meant to align, and are now equipped with the knowledge and understanding of the task at hand. They write, practise, perform and promote more than
their contemporaries and will continue to do so until they headline Glastonbury festival.
Naipia have supported Black Honey on their European tour, played sold out venues all over Brighton
and the South East and have recently supported The Voice’s Jimmy Balito at his Press Launch
Show in Camden this month, gaining industry interest. The band now want to break into London
and get playing on bigger stages because they know it’s where they belong.
