Blackmar

Blackmar is a rock singer native from Paris, France. Descendant of three generations of artists, his future as a musician was all but foretold by his past. Following the untimely death of his mother in 2002, he was raised alone by his father, a Parisian painter who shared valuable insights on the importance of thought, music and art in general. Rocked by the albums of Iggy Pop, Jim Morisson, Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osbourne, David Bowie and Marilyn Manson, Rock N 'Roll quickly became his religion.


Passionate about rockstars, he behaved from adolescence as one of them ; smoking joints and drinking shots with friends, always dressing in style, rebelling at school. In his last year of school, he met a Canadian who sang praises for America and Rock N' Roll. They soon became very close and started writing music together. Unfortunately, his friend's stay in Europe came to an end and Canada beckoned. Blackmar, who had nothing to lose decided to leave his country to become a musician and follow his dreams in North America. For two years, he travelled between Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver and Quebec, discovering local artists and writing ​Facing Hell, his first album.
His long-time Canadian friend introduced him to his brother-in-law and musician, Carl Dufour, who had just graduated from university studies in music, with whom he began collaborating in November 2018. They released ​independently​ 4EVER EVIL in February 2019,​ READY TO BARK in May, and NO SINS TO HIDE in September.


Currently, Facing Hell is coming to end of production and Blackmar is planning to start his first tour "THE FACE TO HELL TOUR" in Canada then to move to West Hollywood, Los Angeles, California in 2020. He remains determined to make his vision and album known, and stands ready to recover Rock N 'Roll's lost splendour by reinventing the concept of contemporary rockstar.
