About Simerly
Rock & Roll front-woman gone Singer Songwriter. I have fronted cover bands since I was 17, and played in an all original alternative band in Atlanta for approximately 2 years. I took an 18 year break in my musical career to raise my identical twin boys. Now that they're grown, I'm working on my music again...better late than never! I play acoustic guitar and write songs as a creative outlet. I am self taught due to frustration of losing songs to forgetful guitar players.
I won an Honorable Mention for my lyrics to a song I wrote called "Love Don't Live Here No More" from American Songwriter magazine out of Nashville in May of 2019. The only write up I've had mentioned my voice being a bit like a cross between Natalie Merchant and Ella Fitzgerald...I'll take it!
